Just think, if it wasn't for capitalism we'd never get the chance to watch programmes like The Apprentice. It's also always a plus to hear a man say in mixed company that there's no glass ceiling for him, and to witness someone else describe himself as a 'a brand'. All this to impress Lord Alan, never mind what the rest of us think.
In this first episode, Dan was fired for leading his team to defeat, and it probably didn't help that his underlings ended up hating him because his leadership was done in the style of a tyrant.
It was difficult to take Dan seriously as a tyrant as he looks like a slightly miffed Tim Vine. To be fair to Dan he was at a disadvantage with Shibby Robati on his team. Who is going to buy sausages from a surgeon? Can I interest you in a kidney and appendix sausage sir?

On The Apprentice Your Fired Dan admitted to having an embroidery business. After seeing his performance as project manager he must have been a right sew and sew.
