Plausibility has never been Eastenders' strongest suit and why should it be, some may ask, as after all it is a work of fiction and does not claim to mirror real life. Even the die hard defenders of the faith must have struggled last night, though, when Max was seen to convince Greg on how exotic a fruit the pomegranate is. Greg was convinced of course, because he is supposed to be kind and therefore thick in Albert Square territory. For the purposes of the plot, he was sent on the fool's errand of finding one of these mythical prizes so Max and Tanya could continue their affair. He then had to travel as far as the high street, which is a land far far away, as Billy only has your everyday fruit and veg.
