This slow-moving and elegant tribute to poet Norman MacCaig on the centenary of his birth took the form of a fishing trip in the mountains, at the Loch of the Green Corrie. Billy Connolly, Aly Bain and Andrew Greig followed MacCaig's lead and remembered him while trying and failing to catch trout. These sections were interspersed with readings of his work, which were given by friends and fellow poets, such as Seamus Heaney and Douglas Dunn, but the scenery almost stole the show. A past time was also recalled, as stories were told of the days when poets and poetry in Edinburgh and Glasgow had more significance in contemporary culture than could even be believed now.
